"Tailoring Communications Based on Emotional Intelligence"

Join us for a compelling conversation with Melissa Ramsey, the owner of Mosaic Community Consulting.  The discussion revolves around the significance of emotional intelligence in community management.  Melissa highlights that emotional intelligence goes beyond self-awareness and self-regulation, emphasizing the crucial aspects of empathy and perspective when interacting with others.

Our Presenter Will Be:

Melissa Ramsey, CMCA, AMS, LSM, PCAM

Melissa has served in several leadership roles in the Carolinas and Northern Nevada with a wide range of community sizes, amenities, and governing documents.  She has been in the association industry for almost 20 years and ‘fell’ into the industry from the Club Management style starting as a lifeguard.

She is an active member of CAI on a local and national level, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Chapter, CAI National DEI Task Force, and a Board of Trustees for National CAI.  A proud member of the CAI National Managers Council for the last 5 years.  Melissa has been a session presenter at the last three national CAI conferences.  She also serves as President Elect for CAI in 2024.

Over the last 15 years, she has obtained industry designations of CMCA, AMS, LSM, and PCAM.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a true Tar Heel, being born and raised in North Carolina.

In her spare time, she enjoys being a mom to a 14-year old daughter and 8-year old son who keep her busy with their activities, while also making time for her own health and wellness.
