Ride The Bus To Austin With Us!!!

Homeowners, professionals and others interested in the impact of Texas legislation on community associations and their residents have an opportunity to learn more about pressing issues, as well as educate lawmakers about the issues at hand. The Community Associations Institute (CAI) Texas Legislative Action Committee (TLAC) is holding its Rally Day at the Capitol in Austin on Wednesday, March 3, 2027.

TLAC’S Rally Day will give attendees direct access to leading policymakers through Capitol meetings. Prior to visiting the Capitol, a workshop on communicating effectively with government officials will take place, as well as a presentation on legislative issues, advocacy strategy and TLAC operations.  Participation in this event is approved for 3 CEU hours!!!

REGISTRATION
Registration is FREE!

Our chartered bus will pick up at the CAI Chapter offices before heading to Austin. Please see the schedule below:

6:00 AM   Pick up and get on the Bus
     CAI Chapter Offices, Dallas     (Depart by 6:30 AM)

10:30 AM   Approximate arrival time to the TLAC Rally Rendezvous Point
(First United Methodist Church on the northeast corner of Lavaca Street & 13th Street, on the west side of the Capitol in downtown Austin.)

     • 10:30 AM   |   Check-In & Grab'n'Go Snacks (FUMC)

     • 11:15 AM   |   Opening Remarks/Legislative Review (FUMC)

     • 12:00 PM   |   Lunch w/Guest Speaker (FUMC)

     • 1:30 PM     |   Group Photo at Capital Steps (Texas Capitol)

     • 1:45 PM     |   Capitol Meetings (Texas Capitol)

4:00 PM   Teams return to Church, gather their belongings and depart

5:00 PM   Dinner and beer/wine provided on bus ride back to Dallas

8:00 - 8:30 PM   Approximate return to Dallas

(Not planning to ride the bus...? Please register so we can make sure and have a proper headcount for food and space needs on the day of the event.)

COCKTAIL RECEPTION
An optional cocktail reception will be held between 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2027 for attendees who aren't riding the bus back to Dallas. Location TBD.

ATTIRE
Business attire is recommended. Our goal is to show solidarity as an industry by wearing buttons that will be provided on-site.
